The Hotel proudly welcomes Luigi Ferraro as the Chef de Cuisine who has been working behind the scenes with the hotel’s Executive Chef Neeraj Tyagi along with his culinary team to further define the restaurant’s food and beverage operation.
The duo together have combined their creative skills and have conceptualized a truly authentic Italian menu at Sorrento and have been artistically crafting dishes inspired by their classic culinary skills to bring a new and elevated dining experience at Sorrento. Food & Wine is an integral part of the menu at the restaurant – Neapolitan cuisine is famous for its use of Tomatoes, Lemons, Potatoes and fresh vegetables and an abundance of world-famous specialties like Pizza, Pasta, Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese & fresh Mediterranean Seafood is available at Sorrento. Neapolitan cuisine is one of the most enviable and healthiest diets in Europe and lovers of fresh ingredients and seafood will be in for a gastronomic treat. Chef Luigi brings with him more than two decades of hospitality experience from across the globe. Luigi has been working behind the scenes with the hotel’s Executive Chef Neeraj Tyagi along with his culinary team to further define the restaurant’s food and beverage operation. Before moving to India, Chef Luigi served as Executive Chef for a luxury restaurant, Café Calvados in Moscow where he handled the complete management of the restaurant and staff, and conceptualised menus based on the fusion of creative Mediterranean and International cuisine. Throughout his culinary career, Chef Luigi’s passion for competition has been evident. He has won multiple culinary accolades including the “Section Taste Award” in Rome, the “Column of Capocolona” giving recognition to his professionalism in Crotone, “Italian Excellence Award” in Regio Calabria and won a gold medal in the International Kremlin Culinary Cup competition under the Main Restaurant Hot Food category to name a few.
His extensive culinary experience and wide repertoire in Meditteranean and International cuisine is accentuated by his philosophy of serving dishes orchestrated with passion and crafted to evoke full flavors through the use of the highest quality seasonal ingredients, creative composition and sound cooking technique. Chef Luigi’s culinary vision and unparalleled creativity will bring a new and elevated dining experience at Sorrento, the newly launched Italian restaurant at Shangri-La’s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi.
