After his Degree in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Kovalam, Kerala, Chef Ashish went on to work at The Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai in a restaurant called VETRO - A FINE DINE ITALIAN restaurant under Chef Mathew Crop.
He then moved through a variety of restaurants within the brand, including 3 years as Chef De Partie at the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Nariman Point, refining his skills along the way.
He also worked in Michelin star as a part of the pre opening team for the restaurant called Ziya run by Chef Vineet Bhatia which had an Indian fusion style cuisine.
In April 2012, He moved on to Taj Land’s End, Bandra as Jr. Sous Chef. During his tenure there, he and his team won the Good Food award 2012-2013 for his restaurant.
Chef Ashish is currently working as a Jr. Sous Chef at The Lalit, Mumbai since May 2013. He is working as acting restaurant chef for the fine dine restaurant known as Trendz
