Chef Raheel Ahmad –Executive Chef, Alto Vino, brings to your table the rich culinary history and charm of Italy. This modern trattoria serves hand crafted and carefully designed authentic, quality Italian cuisine that promises to be a gastronomical delight.

Alto Vino gives patrons the chance to be part of the culinary experience by adapting an open interactive kitchen concept. This also allows the tantalizing aromas of Tuscan, Lombardy and even Liguria delicacies to transport you to a home in Italy. With the outlets objective to finally be able to offer diners high quality authentic Italian food, that would make you feel like you were eating in an actual Italian home, Chefs here use an amalgamation of local produce with ingredients that are specially imported to ensure the true flavor and authenticity of each dish.

Some of the signature dishes served at the restaurant include Egg Yolk Raviolo, Trenette all’Orto, Spigola, Fritto Misto, and Risotto ai Funghi. The favourite Italian dessert, Tiramisu, is the perfect way to indulge in pure Italian bliss after a sinful meal.

An Italian specialty restaurant cannot be complete without some Italian coffee & beverages and Alto Vino will not disappoint you there. The beverage menu at the restaurant offers Illy coffee, grappa, selection of beer and the much talked about limón cello. Wood top tables and the wooden and marble floor with rustic elements both distressed and polished all contribute to the contemporary yet traditional decor of the restaurant setting the ambience just right to flaunt the true colors of architecturally rich Italy. Chef Raheel Ahmad

After Completing Diploma in Hotel management, catering Technology and Nutrition from IHM, Bhopal that provides training for three years in all aspects of the hotel industry Raheel went on to joining the Taj Group of Hotels as Hotel Operation Management Trainee post which he was posted to The Taj Mahal, New Delhi. During his 14 years career life including working with Oberoi hotels, Marriott hotels, The Leela group and Taj group of hotels, Raheel has worked with various talented chefs during his tenure with P&O Cruises, Southampton, UK as Chef de partie he had also worked with renowned Celebrity Chef James Martin.

Raheel is a self-motivated, creative, versatile and meticulous individual with a passion for food. His specialty lies in cooking a variety of delectable European and Asian cuisine and is known to add his own touch of individuality and distinctive style in terms of flavour and presentation of the food. He has commendable team player spirit and qualities and profound potential to set high standards for both the team and himself.

Prior to his association with Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Raheel was with Marriott Hotel Jaipur, where he worked as Executive Chef and coordinated with a culinary team of 94 chefs and 36 KST Associate. He primarily supervised the overall operations of Food and beverage outlets such as Okra (all day dining), Saffron (Indian specialty), JBC (Jaipur Baking company) and L18 (Lounge). In addition, he was also responsible for food and overhead cost budgeting and controls along with other day-to-day operations and management of the kitchen brigade.

Chef Raheel has also just recently won the Marriott International Award for Culinary Excellence – Asia Pacific. In his current role, as the Executive Chef at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Raheel’s main responsibilities will include mentoring a large scale team, overall management of the food and beverage outlets and introduction of new trends of food presentation and dining concepts. He will also play a very significant role in facilitating complete customer satisfaction by providing quality service. Having worked closely with some world-renowned national and international chefs, he will also utilize his gained valuable knowledge to train and manage the manpower and resources available efficiently.
