Chef Gaurav hails from the city of joy, Kolkata, where food is as diverse as its culture and tradition. He started his career with Hyatt Regency Kolkata in the year 2005, and worked in several outlets which also includes award winning restaurants under several Michelin-starred chefs. During his tenure of work with Hyatt Regency Kolkata, he received a national level scholarship to do an internship from the prestigious VATEL - ecole de hotelerie in France, specialized in French gastronomic cuisine in their starred restaurant Les Palmier.
Chef Gaurav joined Carnival Cruise Lines in the year 2010 and worked in their main galley and fine dining table de hote restaurant steak house for two years. It was again the propitious time for him to get back into hotels and joined Park Hyatt Goa resort and spa in the year 2012, he handled Da luigi a speciality Italian restaurant of the hotel awarded as the best Italian restaurant of the country by the ospitalia Italiana for the year 2013. Later, he was the chef in charge of Palms - a seafood and grill restaurant.
He is currently working with Vivanta by Taj Bangalore as a senior Sous chef, and the chef in charge of Graze - an award winning modern fine dining European restaurant.
