Born in Punjab a rich culinary state of India, Chef Chandan acquires his food knowledge from his family business. Since childhood he has been watching his father taking interests in farming activities, majorly dairy products. From the cattle feed to the finished dairy products, every step was closely watched and practiced by him.
Later this interest graduated to farming activities with his father. Cooking poultry and game was one of his favourite activities since childhood and he even butchered a few birds in his younger days. These activities could take only one path and that was to become a professional chef.
He studied hard and got himself admitted to a hotel management college miles away from home. With support and guidance of his faculties he got placed in the Taj hotels and currently works at “The Masala Klub” the Indian fine dining restaurant at the Taj West End Bangalore.
Chandan has represented Taj hotels in various culinary competitions, displaying modern Indian cuisine and also done a food festival on The Modern Indian Cuisine @Taj Club House Chennai.
HE is currently working as Senior Chef de Partie and takes command of the kitchen, has a guest fan club not only in India but worldwide.
