About the Restaurant

10th February 2013 featured the new face of Memories of China hosting Chef William Tong from Honk Kong at Vivanta by Taj MG Road, Bangalore. The restaurant is located at the lobby level of the hotel. A dramatic live kitchen, Tea Ceremony space and Bar serving an array of Specialty cocktails and finest of drinks are the highlights of the restaurant. A picturesque private dining area ideal for discerning guests is one of the Uniqueness of the restaurant.

THE RESTAURANT:

¨ The dining comprises of 3 distinct parts- A bar and lounge seating, restaurant, Interior seating and private dining.

¨ The Restaurant is done in shades of red, black and cream yellow and gives it a modern look with contemporary Chinese cuisine and etiquettes

Chef Lai Hin Tong William

With more than forty years of experience in the industry and after taking the culinary world in China by a storm Chef Lai Hin Tong William makes a comeback to the kitchens of Memories Of China at Vivanta by Taj, MG Road as the Executive Master Chef for the restaurant. He brings with him the authentic and traditional flavors from the Cantonese and Szechuan regions of the Chinese provinces and promises to take guests on an unforgettable food expedition.Having completed the occupational qualification certificate course in the Senior Skill Level (Third Level) and Technician (Second Level) from the People’s Republic of China, Chef William comes with new energy and promises to serve guests some of the most authentic delicacies from the native regions of Chinese provinces.
