Ottimo, which translates to “excellent”, is the pioneering Italian restaurant at ITC Gardenia and captures the organic, vibrant spirit of Italy. The restaurant offers a signature Pan-Italian dining experience that celebrates quintessential Italian dishes prepared from the finest local and imported ingredients. On offer are a range of thoughtfully composed appetizers, soups, pasta and risotto dishes, pizzas and a main course that showcases specialties from Rome, Florence, Parma, Milan and Livorno.

With a well thought out section on carb-friendly Italian cuisine for the health conscious, the culinary choices at Ottimo are a rare fusion of traditional Italian with an emphasis on nutrition and fresh ingredients for our guests’ well-being.

The interiors of the restaurant celebrate ITC Gardenia’s commitment to “Responsibly Luxury” and showcase nature’s bounty in a spacious, elegant setting. A rich colour palette of green and gold coupled with beautiful photographs by Magda Indigo showcasing plants, vegetables and herbs, lend an element of theatre to the restaurant. Ottimo brings nature into its spaces with the use of “Terrariums”, which are essentially micro-gardens, held within a delicate glass bowl, adding a unique element to the restaurant’s décor.

Chef Vittorio Greco

Hailing from the South of Italy, Resident Italian Master Chef Vittorio Greco, embraced the fine art of cooking over 25 years ago during the summer of 1983 in Tuscany’s island of Elba .After a diploma in culinary sciences his travels took him across Piedmont, Parma, Vesilia, dabbling with being a restaurateur & chef. After setting up this own seafood restaurant in Parma together with his wife, Chef Greco took the plunge to move to Australia.

Setting up a home in Brisbane and armed with his experience across 1 star Michelin restaurants across Italy, he continued his passion with yet another Michelin restaurant at Brisbane & Queensland. He further honed his entrepreneurial skills with 2 restaurant acquisitions apart from garnering eminent awards & accolades for the best restaurant.

Vittorio Greco’s inspiration & specialty is inclined towards traditional Italian cuisine. A member of the Italian worldwide Chefs Association, Greco’s culinary philosophy rests in retaining the simplicity & authenticity of the dish while exploring & juxtaposing the season’s freshest produce to create stellar dining experiences.

Amiable, a spirited traveler and truly a peoples person, Greco’s affinity for languages holds him in good stead. Fluent in Italian, English & Spanish and on his way to mastering Hindi & Kannada, Chef Greco is enjoying his stint here creating signature specials for Bangalore’s discerning clientele.
