The award winning Asian restaurant, Shiro offers delectable oriental delicacies and fabulous cocktails, coupled with elegance and chic of the Zen-inspired interiors presenting a memorable dining experience.You have a choice of teppanyaki tables or the lush outdoor terrace area where you can raise a toast to fine wine from around the world, food and music.
The feeling is definitely eclectic: Japanese, Chinese and Balinese elements come together to make the whole dining experience a warm, engaging and tropical experience. We have conceptualised the restaurant to set off the mind in myriad ways, with its dramatic soaring interiors, vast choice of food and exhaustive drinks menu. This luxury lounge has a sensuous feel and has been built to represent an Asian Castle, complete with water flows, low seating, niche spaces and mellow lighting.
Chef Priyank Singh Chouhan
Chef Priyank Singh Chouhan is the Area Kitchen Manager for Shiro, Trader Vic’s & Mai Tai lounge. He has been associated with JSM Corporation Private Ltd. for past 4 years.
He holds a Degree in Hotel Management from I.P.S Academy, Indore. Chef Priyank started his career almost 14 years back with the Oberoi Group and later Days Inn. He joined Carnival Cruise Lines and was associated with them for 8 years. During this period he was honored to be a key team player for inaugurals, openings and culinary development teams. After having undergone training under Michelin Chef Gorge Blanc as a Skill development programme, he handled different assignments as being part of culinary development team and assisted in developing new recipes, menus and setting up new restaurants as well as his culinary skills in various cuisines.
In 2010, Chef Priyank joined Shiro- JSM’s in-house Pan Asian restaurant in Bangalore. The restaurant has won critical acclaim for 3 years consecutively and again in 2013 and is ranked among the best dining destinations in India.
Chef Priyank presently with JSM, is a team player of the opening team for the first outlet of renowned American brands - Mai Tai Lounge and Trader Vic’s in India. He is also overseeing the soon to be launched brand, Ginger Tiger in Bangalore all of which are well known for their delicious innovative cuisine, stunning signature cocktails, and ambience all over the world.
Priyank believes in exploring and excelling culinary skills in new cuisines, making rapid progress in his ventures. He loves to go places, sketch and love to spend time with his two year old son ‘Rudraditya’.
