Located at the Lobby Level, overlooking the verdant Rajokri greens (the green belt of Gurgaon), Diya is a culinary mosaic of Indian flavours.Created by world renowned architects Hersch Bender Associates (HBA), the restaurant’s interiors are a tribute to contemporary India and to the evolving palates of food connoisseurs. Diya is a fine example of balance - where traditional and modern design elements co-exist in natural harmony with five elements of nature – air, water, earth, fire and ether.
With a comfortable seating capacity to accommodate 112 guests, Diya is a delightful venue for people who enjoy Indian traditional fare outside of their kitchens.The restaurant menu boasts of north Indian delicacies creating a perfect ensemble of gourmet delicacies by our Indian Master Chef Harish Tiwari. The meals are served in customary style in tableware with traditional accents. The carefully planned menu is a medley of Indian highlights - Kebabs, Tandoori items, biryanis, Indian curries, Indian lentils and famous breads.
With an emphasis on not just food, but design too, Diya brings together the contemporary & conventional interiors to exhibit a fine balance between all of nature’s core elements-earth, fire, water, air and ether. Welcomed by a metal-frame rosewood door, you enter a space overlooking the greenery around Gurgaon’s outskirts. The restaurant gives the cherished North Indian cuisine a modern twist, all the while maintaining the authentic Mughlai tastes yet steering clear of leaving the diner cloyed, despite a royal treat. With over 12 years of experience, Chef Harish Tiwari has been a valued addition to The Leela Ambience Gurgaon family. Starting his career back in 2004 at The Park Hotel New Delhi he moved to the Shangri-La New Delhi a year later. From there he moved from one establishment to other all the while learning and honing his skills. After working at renowned places like Crowne Plaza Today, Gurgaon, Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit, Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Gurgaon he joined us here. Chef Harish brings with him a new perspective, zeal to excel and the drive to deliver memorable experiences.
