Having established itself in Mumbai since December 2011 and on the heels of a highly successful launch in Bengaluru this autumn, Yauatcha, London’s favourite Michelin-starred dim sum teahouse offers affordable luxury in the world of eclectic food expression.
The palette of design materials used in Yauatcha Delhi forms a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. The seating embodies the atmosphere of a congenially vibrant ‘chatter shop’, akin to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants. Beautifully embroidered Chinese motifs on the leather chairs lend an added sense of grace to the restaurant. The lighting of the tables is accentuated with ceramic shades handmade in Scotland.
Our chefs have infused modern sensibilities with traditional Chinese recipes using methods of cooking true to a thousand years of Chinese tradition. The result is Cantonese cooking with a contemporary flair – subtle yet thrilling – and all made with the best of ingredients.
Yauatcha’s all-day dining menu offers a large selection of dim sums, wok preparations and modern European desserts.
Amongst a selection of over 40 types of dim sums, traditional specialities like shui mai and cheung fun take prominence alongside creative offerings like the truffle edamame dumpling, crispy duck roll and vegetable chive dumpling. Apart from the Dim Sums the menu offers a selection of soups, salads and a variety of wok preparations like Steamed red snapper in Asam sauce, king pao chicken and crispy lamb with raw mango.
With the rising culture of vegetarianism around the world, Yauatcha has also crafted an extensive vegetarian menu including an array of dim sums and wok preparations like Vegetable crystal dumpling, Lotus root roll, Turnip cake, Vegetarian-duck salad, Four style vegetables in Szechuan sauce. The menu also includes certain dishes which are suitable for Jain dietary requirements. Furthermore, our chefs have paid special attention to ensure that vegetarians do not have to compromise on desserts by creating eggless specialities like Chocolate hazelnut mousse, mango mascarpone gateaux and chocolate mandarin tart.
