About the Restaurant

Serves the highly acclaimed cuisine of the Indian. North-West Frontier, which has regaled the who’s who of the World including Royalty, Heads of State & celebrities. Peshawri brings alive the robust flavors of this cuisine which is traditionally prepared in a clay tandoor. The menu offers a wide choice of Kebabs, range of Rotis& of course the famous Dal Bukhara, an experience best enjoyed with your fingers.

INTRESTING ABOUT PESHAWARI::::::::::::::::

•The decor comprises stonewalls and flooring, hung with Bukhara carpets. Rough-hewn trestle tables and wooden stools complete the rugged look. Copper pots and urns are suspended from the ceiling and pillars; the crockery is earthenware in an earthy ochre colour, while the menu is painted on a block of wood.

•The chequeredapron is also a totally novel concept that has become very popular. The view of the kitchen with the busy chefs adds to the warmth of the restaurant, inviting one to take time off to photograph the activity inside the kitchen.

•The speed by which the food is cooked and delivered to the tables justifies its claim of having one of the most efficient services.

•The Bukhara/Peshawristyle of cooking (in a tandoor) originated from the village (at that time) of Bukhara along the Pashtun Border that Uzbekistan shares now with Afghanistan and Pakistan. This region had been demarcated as the North West Frontier Province (now known as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) since pre-independence days when India & Pakistan were one country. Hence, the name North West Frontier Cuisine.

•The cooking style, Seating style and the menu signify the culture and life of Bukhara/Peshawri
